I am a student…
How do I find a work experience placement?
Contact employers directly and enquire. Choose a placement you will enjoy which matches your visions and aspirations.

I have a placement, what do I do now?
Make sure all fields on your self-placement form have been completed and handed back to your work experience representative at school.
If you haven’t done already, drop in and introduce yourself to the employer prior to the placement starting. This is good practice and enables you to gather any relevant information (i.e. start times, uniform requirements, lunch requirements etc…).
Do I need a DBS check?
This depends on where you are working, especially if your placement entails working with children and vulnerable adults.
Speak to the employer prior to the placement to ask them about their procedures.
