Can you welcome students into your place of work and provide them with hands-on experience?

Traditional work experience is back on the agenda and is a vital part of a young person’s career development. You will welcome one or multiple students into your place of work for either one or two weeks.

Your assigned student will be treated as a member of staff during their designated work experience period. The experience can be pivotal for helping students decide on which career path to take and can be an essential first step into the world of work.

If you are interested in supporting work experience, please get in touch with us.

Project 25

1–2 days per week
39 weeks

Project 25 is our initiative to engage with at least 25% of the nation’s hardest to reach young people and match them up to an employer for between 1 & 2 days per week for the entire academic year.

An academic pathway isn’t for everyone, and we find that the cohorts that access the initiative benefit most from accessing the world of work.

You will be genuinely transforming someone’s life and allowing them to kick-start a career in your sector.

Upload a 2 minute Sector Spotlight video

2 mins

Can you make a big impact on a students career in two minutes?
Firstly, we encourage as many employers as we can to record a sector spotlight video – a short snapshot of how you got to where you are today – it will only take a few minutes of your time but is an invaluable resource for our students.
To make it as easy as possible, we’ve scripted seven simple questions for you to use as prompts during your video.

Once complete simply send us your video and we will take care of the rest; professionally editing your clip before sharing on our various platforms once finished.
For step-by-step instructions, download our Sector Spotlight guide here. If you need some inspiration, you can watch other employer videos already released here.

Marston's, case study

“As a company Marston’s has always been focused on investing in young talent, this year we gave ourselves the goal of going one step further by investing in a work experience programme with the main objective of changing mind-sets when it comes to careers in hospitality! We’ve decided to partner with Changing Education Limited in delivering this programme because we believe that they are one of the largest educational brokerage companies in the country and have certainly demonstrated their high level of expertise when it comes to the world of work experience. So far our working relationship with Changing Education has been incredibly productive, with them leading the way on many aspects of the programme. We’re looking forward to seeing this working relationship develop further over the coming months and years.

As a company we would definitely recommend engaging with Changing Education if you’re thinking of starting a work experience programme in your organisation or even if you’re looking to improve on what’s already there.”
